Tecom Group introduces Verifica - its rebranded and evolved file QC tool

Tecom Group Inc., a Florida-based provider of software solutions for broadcasting and telecom industriesa leading software developer in broadcasting and telco, announces a rebrand of its automated QC system ORBOX to Verifica. The new name is more reflective of the system’s aim and mission - helping broadcasters and post-production houses verify their media content efficiently, comprehensively, and with confidence that it meets the highest industry standards.

Verifica allows media professionals to break free from the limitations of concurrently launched QC tasks. The tool can check an unlimited number of files simultaneously, which leads to a higher volume of verified content and streamlined QC workflows. Its Linux-based dockerized architecture alongside an easy setup provides unmatched flexibility in kickstarting and operating the automated file-based QC system. Verifica is designed to be cloud-agnostic, meaning it can be deployed in any environment, and scale with growing content volumes.

Verifica incorporates all the features of a powerful AQС tool. It’s highly flexible in configurations and templates, allowing for 80+ audio, video, and metadata checks for major media file formats, including VOD and HDR. Verifica is AI-powered for more accurate detection of video defects and features a loudness correction module for audio normalization in compliance with EBU standards. The system has a powerful built-in media player that provides for an in-depth review and correction of the test results. Also, Verifica offers an intuitive UI that cuts out the guesswork to guide the customer through the system, as well as REST API for seamless integration into a customer’s media workflow.

Verifica operates in both cloud and on-prem environments and scales efficiently to follow the growth of small post-production agencies, broadcasting, and OTT platforms using it.
