San Jose, California - On October 24-26, 2016 HandiFox - an inventory tracking mobile application developed by Tecom Group - took part in QuickBooks Connect 2016 conference hosted by Intuit in San Jose. Accountants, small business owners, developers – nearly 5,000 people from the USA, Canada, Australia, Europe and the Caribbean area – attended the event. The conference speaker list included Scott Cook, Founder and Chairman of the Executive Committee of Intuit, Gold medalists Michael Phelps and Simone Biles, the renowned Shaquille O’Neal , Tony Hawk, America Ferrera and many more.
HandiFox came to San Jose as a $100K Small Business App Showdown finalist to pitch the brand new HandiFox Online to a panel of judges. The finalists of the contest were developers whose apps had been published on Intuit App Store and received the highest percentages of votes from their customers, a considerable number of 4-5 star reviews and were recognized for the quality of integration and innovation by Intuit. That was not an easy journey as each company had to pass technical, marketing and security reviews to be approved by Intuit as an eligible contestant. The winner was chosen by a panel of judges based on the quality of integration, innovation, customer reviews and votes. As a result, HandiFox hit the list of top 10 new apps for QuickBooks Online of the year 2016.
“We are proud to be listed among the 10 finalists and were excited to be part of this great game. Even though we didn’t get the prize, it was a big win for us, as Handifox outperformed other inventory tracking applications participating in the contest – we proved to be the best. Due to the conference, HandiFox became more recognizable among our target audience which has led to a tremendous increase in sales. We are inspired and motivated to keep on working on our product”, said Anton Turchenko, VP, Business Development at Tecom Group.
